for our Australian climate, the long boards of Noosawood bamboo flooring can
transform and add value to your home. The wood is as tough as jarrah and the colour
ranges from a light blonde to dark caramel, using no artificial tinting or staining.
Noosawood changes to a darker colour the longer it’s left to dry in the kiln. It’s
dimensions generate a feeling of spaciousness with a width of 125mm and length of 1.8m.
Coated with 5 layers of German lacquer, Noosawood is hardwearing with a 20 year warranty
if it is installed with a moisture barrier. The safe glues used conform to strict European
standards and have minimal formaldehyde.
In an era of diminishing hardwoods Noosawood is an intelligent choice because it is so
environmentally friendly. Bamboo is a grass and can grow up to an inch an hour — you
can watch this grass grow! And mow it every five years and it just keeps on growing.
It is easy to maintain — just sweep with a broom or vacuum and an occasional once over
with a slightly damp mop. When you’re renovating, Noosawood is easy and quick to install
with no sanding mess because it comes prepolished. If you have an allergy, hay fever or
asthma, doctors recommend bare floorboards as dustmites accumulate in carpets. Noosawood
